Ministry to children from Kindergarten through 3rd grade is offered during all Sunday morning services.
Each class is taught from published curriculum, along with Bible stories, crafts and games. Gods word is the foundation of all our teaching.
Children are involved in a wide variety of activities during their morning. They can usually be found spending time in Praise and Worship or on an exciting adventure through the Bible, learning how the same promises God gave so many years ago still apply to them today.
We encourage children to participate in prayer as we attempt to bring each child into a more personal relationship with God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
Our desire is that children will develop and build personal relationships with Jesus, their classmates and their teachers. Children work on memorizing Bible facts and scripture. They are learning Gods instructions for their lives and how to live by them.
Jesus told us in Matthew 18:20, Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there! When children assemble in their classrooms, it is as much a meeting of the saints as in the Worship Center. Eternal things are accomplished in the childrens lives.

Statement of Purpose
|
This ministry exists to assist in fulfilling Luke 4:18-19. Childrens Ministry does this by sparking, encouraging, and nurturing each childs desire to discover who God is, what His Word says and how it applies to each of them. Our hope is that every child would understand Gods love for him in a personal way that would not only result in their eternal salvation, knowing Jesus as their Savior, but also guide them as they learn to serve the Lord by serving others. We realize that a Childrens Ministry that effectively demonstrates Christs love to our children and our teachers, will have a ripple effect and be a positive influence on each family as well.
We want to partner with parents and families by coming alongside and supporting them as they raise up their children. What a privilege to assist in the shaping of the values and behavior of each child. Parent involvement in Childrens Ministry is encouraged.
Our desire is to responsibly minister to all the children the Lord has placed in our lives. A childs experience at church plays an important role in his or her perception of who God is and what He is like. We realize it is important to communicate to children His love and caring, His forgiveness and acceptance, His faithfulness and power in our provisions for them and in our responses to them.
We are continually in Gods Word and in prayer for guidance and direction. Our aim is to help children love and experience joy as they learn how to relate Biblical truths to their own lives.
It is our privilege to minister to children, to be involved in building His Church!

Opportunities to Serve
|
|
Serving opportunities vary and the possibilities are many. We want to work with each volunteer to find a place where each one can make a difference in a childs life. The main requirement is a heart for God and His children; however, we do also require that the volunteer has been attending Little Country Church for a minimum of 6 months.
During the week assistance is needed to organize and gather materials that will be used for Wednesday and Sunday. Help is needed with phone calls, fund raising and miscellaneous office work. We have a scrap book that we are continuing to add to and always need help with. Ongoing support is required for gathering and preparing supplies for crafts and games. Extra hands are always appreciated as we guide the students as they participate in crafts and games. Donations of snacks and materials are also appreciated.
Our Sunday School and Midweek teachers and assistants are selected from members of the church body that have been attending Little Country Church for at least six months and have shown a desire to work with the children of our church.
Every teacher and helper is expected to attend one service even on the days they teach or assist. We realize we must continually be fed if we are giving of ourselves on an ongoing basis.
Selection and placement of volunteers is handled by the Childrens Ministry Director after determining the needs of the Sunday School, the experience of the individual, and the commitment of the individual to the responsibilities of the area they desire to serve in. We interview each person who desires to be involved and check references.
