Podcasting

The most recent Sunday and Wednesday Bible studies are now available via podcast.

What is Podcasting?

"Podcasting" is making audio files available online in a way that allows software to automatically download the files for listening at the user's convenience.

Do I have to use iTunes?

No. iTunes is free and probably the most popular way to sign up for podcasting, but it is not your only option. Here are four free programs that can get you started:

iTunes: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Probably the most used podcasting program. iTunes is available for both Mac and Windows.

Doppler: http://www.dopplerradio.net/
This program is only for downloading podcasts.

iPodder: http://ipodder.sourceforge.net
- Another free program specifically for podcasting. Works on Mac, Windows, or Linux.

Winamp: http://www.winamp.com/
- Winamp is a media player for Windows with podcasting capabilities built in (called "SHOUTcast Wire" instead of podcasting)

Do I need an iPod?

No. All you need is a computer with internet access. The mp3 files on our site will work on any computer or mp3 player. By using iTunes or similar programs you can get the latest mp3 Bible studies downloaded automatically to your computer as soon as they become available. If you have an iPod, the iTunes program can copy the files directly to your iPod.
